Fee Structure

Our fee structure for 2011 is as follows:

• A full season Adult membership is $80 per person.
• A full season Adult first year membership is $60 per person.
• A full season Junior membership is $25 per person (aged from 8 years to 18 years old).
• An Adult trial membership is $30 for one month (and this will be applied against the annual fee of $60 for first year bowlers, if you subsequently join for the year).
• Locker rentals are $5 each for the year.

There is no obviously no fee charged for the “free lessons”, and we encourage anyone who is interested to try the game out.   We will provide the bowls and basic instructions on your initial visits, and soon as we feel you are able to play at a reasonable level, we will set you up with practice greens of your own for further practice, or integrate you into the club’s general bowling sessions (in the Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday events)

Our dress code is fairly relaxed, other than the requirement for smooth soled heel-less shoes, except that we usually require “Whites” or “Team uniforms” for any official Provincial Playdowns, and while whites may be worn for Saturday and Holiday Monday jitneys, they are not required.   The Whites can be trousers or shorts with collared shirts for the Men, and dresses, or shorts, slacks, or skirts, with tops or blouses for the Ladies.

We also rent out the greens for individual functions (on occasions when there are no other club activities going on), for a fee to be negotiated, but usually it works out to around $5 per player, plus an additional flat green fee.   In the past we have done this for “Team building” exercises for corporations and for wedding “Stags”, or just a social event for a club or group of people.  For these functions we like to explain the game to you before you start, and we usually have some club personnel on hand to assist during the event.   We require you to obtain your own liquor license, and you may arrange for catering, or we can make a Barbeque available if desired.

We have Bowls available in various sizes, for the use of visitors and new members, on the basis that they do not have to buy their own bowls in their first full season.  However, you will find that it is better to use the same set of bowls every time you play, and once you decide to be a bowler, you will probably want to have your own bowls, since you cannot be guaranteed the same set of club bowls every time you play.
